The Abuja entertainment circuit was rocked this morning by the shocking news that aspiring MC/producer Sazzy, real name Osaze Omonbude, had passed on after a brief illness.

Sazzy was well-known in hip-hop circles in the Federal Capital as a gifted producer and an amiable MC. His most memorable achievement was the release of the DJ Atte-hosted mixtape “The Take Over” in June this year. The mixtape featured a gang of stars including MI, 9ice and Ruggedman.

Producing since early 2002 the beat maker returned to Nigeria and was working out of Abuja. He rose to fame with the release of his tracks “Love Am De Go” and “Mr Chairman”.

Affiliated with Outta Town Entertainment and DJ Atte, his unique sound was making good ground in the industry by producing tracks for industry heavy weights from Ice Prince to featuring G-Star, MI and Naeto C on “Baby Girl” to the release of his banger “Doubt“.

The singer, song writer, producer also worked with Beazy, Rilwan, Lynxxx and Season. Without a shadow of doubt Sazzy was destined to do great things.

Sazzy was a very gifted Record Producer/Singer/Song Writer that could fuse afro-beat, pop, hip-hop, and dance together to create an addictive and catchy sound. Sazzy was 26 years old at the time of his death.

  1. Like the first comment, I had never heard of him before now. I really like the concept to Doubt. Hope he has enough material already recorded to release an album. My condolences to his family and everybody that knew him personally.
