Silverbird Entertainment Centre in the bid to create more entertainment in Abuja has introduced a show called “Thank God First Friday”(TG1F). The show originally started in the Silverbird Galleria Lagos as “Thank God First Thursday” (TG1T) and it was a huge success bringing together artists like D’banj, M.I, Dare Art Alade, Tuface, Banky W and many more. It created a venue for top artist and fans to come together in a personal one-on-one setting based on their common love for music. It also created a platform for up and coming artists to showcase their talents and get a chance to have their music aired on one of our various media outlets.
In Abuja, the show takes place every first Friday of the Month at the Entertainment Centre. It includes a headliner which is usually an established Nigerian artist. We have had three successful shows in the last three months which were themed around acoustic vibes, Afro hip-hop, and Hip-hop Gospel with artists such as Praise (runner up from the first ever project fame West Africa); Mo’Cheddar and Rooftop MCs.
Everymonth is themed to fit various music genre’s. This Month of May is Hiphop/rap, Jesse Jagz as the headliner…June will be soul/Jazz with BEZ as the headliner. So if you are visiting or live in ABUJA this Friday, 7th of MAY or any other 1st Friday of the month visit Silverbird Entertainment Centre, Plot 1161 Memorial Drive, Central Business District, Abuja attend TG1F as you never know what you new music you’ll be unearthing.
The following is a lineup of the billed artistes for this Hiphop/rap themed month of May.
