Asakeoge UK (London college of Fashion) is facilitating a weekend fashion seminar for would be fashion-preneursfashion enthusiasts and fashion industry stakeholders.

7 multi-award winning fashion industry experts would be speaking about: introduction into the fashion business, how to start a fashion label, start-up funds, international fashion shows and media campaigns, public relations and marketing, mass production and fashion retailing.

Invited speakers with a combined experience of over 100 years in the industry:

Adebayo Adegbe (Modela), Lanre Da Silva,  Moriam Musa (Morsi Pr), Funmi Ajila (president fashion designers association of Nigeria), Ibikare Allwell (Head Of Fashion, Jumia), Familusi Akin Babajide (Fab tv, fab radio, fab magazine), Dumebi Agbakoba, zed eye (celebrity stylist & designer).

Note: The Business of  Fashion seminar is aimed at bringing the new breed of fashion stakeholders together to discuss and deliberate on how to build a better brand, commercialize their creative works and other business related issues in the Nigerian fashion industry.

The purpose of this platform is to create an interactive and networking opportunity for the textile manufacturer, creative designer, fashion blogger, photographer, event organizer, beauty product manufacturer and retailer, models, make-up artist, fashion PR and other fashion related products. They will all come together under one roof to discuss business of fashion.

Discussion at the conference will include but not limited to: overview of the Nigerian fashion industry, ethical issue of the business, how creativity can be commercialized and protected, how to build and sustain a brand, working with bloggers and PR, how to expand and grow business beyond border, how to build brand relationship, how bloggers can influence sustainability in the fashion industry, importance of digital public relations to business development.
