You do not have to ‘enhance’ your skin tone for you to have this challenge, it is a major problem for women of all races. I used to complain about my knuckles all the time, I had tried a couple of DIY scrubs which didn’t work until someone recommended this to me.

My knuckles and knees haven’t completely evened out but they look a lot better.


Lemon Juice & Baking Soda

The quantity of baking soda to be used depends on the area you intend to apply it to, then add lemon juice to the baking soda, add a small quantity of water. Finally mix till a paste is formed

Apply with a soft face brush, scrub the area gently and rinse off after 10 minutes. When applying to knuckles, just rub gently with your fingers on the other hand then rinse off after 15minutes.

Results will not be seen immediately as fading might take a while.

You could also try Lemon juice & Sugar, Lemon juice and honey, or just Lemon juice. I think it is pretty safe to say that Lemon juice & baking soda is more effective than the other scrubs listed above.

Lemon contains about 88 percent of vitamin c and has very high anti oxidant property, that combined with the strong acidic property of baking soda make the scrub work like magic.

This scrub might be a little too harsh for those with dry skin, so try out a very small quantity on the least visible area of your body and see how you react to it before full on application.
