John Utaka Returns To Ismaily SC – Former Super Eagles striker John Utaka has signed a 2-year contract deal with Egyptian side Ismaily SC.

The former Portsmouth striker left Ismaily SC in 2001 for Qatari side Al-Sadd in a record breaking $1,000,000. 15 years and 6 clubs later, he has returned to the club.

Utaka’s last professional club was Sivasspor in Turkey, where he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances. He was unveiled by Ismaily SC on Sunday, after watching the club defeat Al Masry 2-0 in the Egypt Cup on Saturday.

During his first stink at Ismaily SC, Utaka won both the Egyptian League and the Egypt Cup, and was the league’s highest scoring player in 2000.
