#ProjectFame9.0 Academy Day 60: Emotional Final Moments In The Faculty

share on:

The last day in the #ProjectFame9.0 Academy for the contestants was an emotional laden one as it has been in previous seasons of the competition. Approaching the end of something good can be emotionally demanding because the contestants and the faculty members have built a bond over time which makes it hard for either to say goodbye.

It appears that it just dawned on the contestants that academy day 60 was their last in the academy and that they had to say goodbye officially to members of the faculty. The contestants got a surprise by a septuagenarian who expressed how much she loved the contestants and the show. The surprise guest told them that she watched the show from its inception in season 1 to the present as she mentioned the names of the winners of each show and even mentioned the television stations on which she watched the show.

She also told the contestants to remember that they should remain focused and avoid becoming pompous and proud as the fans were the ones who will listen to them. She took photographs with the contestants and they sang and danced with her, even as she signed off with a dab.

Later in the day, the Academy Principal, Mummy J had a no holds barred session with the contestants in which they all talked about the good and bad side of one another in order to settle whatever grudge they may have held against each other during the course of the season. The contestants in turn freely expressed themselves as they spoke from their hearts.

Other members of faculty; Uncle Ben, Ms. Lovette, and Ms. Ige joined Mummy J in class later on as they had parting words for the contestants. The atmosphere later became emotional as the contestants and faculty members interacted and the latter group dishing out advice to the former. The contestants chose to communicate their parting words to the tutors in a special rendition of Celine Dion’s ‘Because you loved me’ amidst tears, hugs and pats on the back.
