Don’t Know What Questions To Ask As A Job Seekers At Interviews? Here Are Five That Can Get You The Job

share on:

It can be quite difficult to know what questions to ask when a job recruiter asks if you have any questions for them. You can get the most out of your job interview by asking these questions of your future employer.

What are your company’s plans for growth?
Before asking this question, do some research on the company. Mention a recent change they made or a new product that they just launched. That will show your interest in the job and commitment to the company.

This question gives your employer a chance to talk about how they have achieved their goals and where they see the company moving in the future, giving you a good idea of whether or not you’ll fit into helping reach those goals.

What are some new skills you think that I will learn in this position?
This question shows a number of positive things. You’re signifying that you don’t know everything, but that you’re willing to learn. It also shows that you understand having the requisite skills is as important as having the knowledge or impressive resume.

What skills or attributes should an ideal candidate for the job possess?
While you most likely read the job description before you applied, asking this question will give you more details about the position. This will also give your employer the opportunity to tell you exactly what they are looking for and a more in-depth description of what the job entails.

Furthermore, if your employer mentions something that you didn’t talk about, you now have a second chance to know.

How do you see this position changing or growing in the next few years?
This will give you insight into the direction the company is moving into in the future and also your employer’s expectations for you and how career paths at the company evolve.

By asking this question, you will also be showing your employer that you’re interested in staying with this company for a long time and growing there.

What have you enjoyed most about working here?
The answer to this question will allow you to get to know the company and your employer on a personal level. If the person interviewing you struggles to answer the question, take note, that could be a red flag that they aren’t happy with their job.
